The Page Count Route process routes incoming images and PDFs based on a specific page count set by the user. This node can have the following outbound connectors:

  • Yes - If the number of pages is within the specified range.

  • No - If the number of pages is not within the specified range.

  • Error - If the document type is not supported.

This node works with PDF, TIFF, JPG, GIF, PNG, and BMP files.

Note: This node does not support AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) PDFs.

To open the Page Count Route Node window, add a process node for Page Count Route and double-click on it.

  • Enabled - Check this box when there are multiple processes in a workflow. If unchecked, this process will be ignored. Documents will pass through as if the node was not present. Note that a disabled node will not check for logic or error conditions.

  • Node Name - Enter a meaningful name for the Page Count Route node.

  • Description - Enter a description for the Page Count Route node. Although this is not required, it can be helpful to distinguish multiple processes from each other. If the description is long, you can hover the mouse over the field to read its entire contents.

  • If page count - Use the drop-down list to specify the rule for this node. Options include:

    • Greater than

    • Less than

    • Equal to

    • Greater than or equal to

    • Less than or equal to

    • In Between - If you select this option, two fields appear. Enter the range. See the example in the following illustration.

      In Between

For all other options besides In Between, once you have selected the appropriate operator, enter a corresponding value in the field provided. For example, to route files that have more than 100 pages to a certain printer, choose Greater than and then enter 100 in the field.
