Extended accounting of colors allows to account one-color and two-colors jobs separately from Full Color. Whether the page of copy or print job should be accounted as one-color, two-colors or full color is decided by the MFP or printer itself.

  • This feature is available for selected MFPs only.
  • Extended accounting of colors is available only with embedded (device dependent) accounting.

How to set up prices for 1-color and 2-colors pages

If 1-color and 2-colors jobs should be accounted as any other full color jobs, set up same price for 1-color and 2-colors pages as it is set for full color pages.

  1. In the Dispatcher Paragon management interface, click Billing and then the Price list tab.
On this page, there is a list of the existing price lists defined in the system.

  2. Select price list to be edited or create a new one.

  3. Set up prices for 1-color and 2-colors pages - prices are set up separately for print pages and for copy pages.

Limitations

  • Not all MFPs/printers are able to distinguish 1-color print or copy, in such a case the pages are accounted as full color.

  • The information about price shown on Embedded Terminal might differ from the final price. The price estimation does not take extended colors (1-color and 2-color) into consideration and differentiates between BW/color only.
  • When feature is used with quotas or payment, limiting of user might happen on incorrect threshold. The price estimation does not take extended colors (1-color and 2-color) into consideration and differentiates between BW/color only.
